This winter, Mayfield’s streets will burst to life with colour, sound, and creativity as the Mayfield Mini Arts Trail invites the community to experience local art and music in action.

Taking place on Saturday 5 July 2025, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, this free event offers a vibrant program of live art, music performances, and inclusive activities for all ages.

Visitors can embark on a self-guided tour of Mayfield’s renowned Mini Street Art Trail, showcasing striking large-scale murals created by talented artists during previous community projects.

Experience Mayfield like never before! Watch 20 local artists bring Maitland Road to life with live sketching, painting and drawing on easels at businesses and shops from Onyx to Sonny & Betty.

Enjoy pop-up performances from 10 talented local musicians as you follow the trail and soak up the creative energy.

Local not-for-profit organisation Castle, who support people with disabilities, will host a fun and inclusive space with NDIS artwork, handmade jewellery, lawn games, anime art, rock painting, and a sensory chillout zone.

Mayfield Mini Arts Trail is the perfect opportunity to explore Mayfield’s shopping strip—discover cosy cafés, unique boutiques, bakeries, antiques and collectables, op shops, and everything in between. Start anywhere along Maitland Road to enjoy this local event highlight Mayfield’s unique cafes, shops, businesses, artists and musicians.

This event is presented by the Mayfield Business Improvement Association.

COMMUNITY ACTIVATION @ CASTLE

Castle will also host a special community activation at 85 Maitland Road Mayfield featuring:

· An artwork showcase by NDIS participants

· A handmade jewellery stall offering necklaces, bracelets, and more crafted from repurposed kitchen cutlery

· Lawn games including bean bag toss and hula hoops

· An anime art table where visitors can create and contribute

· A quiet sensory chillout zone for relaxation

· An inspirational rock painting station where attendees can paint and take home their own mindful creations

· Festive decorations with colourful flags and banners both indoors and outdoors to create a lively atmosphere
